Born in Pisa in 1992; 2011–2016 studied Literature, Philology and History at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and the University of Wuppertal; 2021 PhD at the University of Wuppertal, co-supervised by the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (supervisors: Maria Pia Alberzoni, Jochen Johrendt), title "Die päpstliche Kapelle und ihre Wirksamkeit. Ein Vergleich zwischen den Kirchenprovinzen Mailand und Salzburg (1046–1241)"; 2017–2021 grants: Cusanuswerkstiftung, DHI Roma, graduation grant from the University of Wuppertal, SFB-Projekt 1369 "Vigilanzkulturen" at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich; 2021–2022 scientific collaborator on Medieval History at the University of Wuppertal; 2022–2023 scientific collaborator on the DFG-funded project "Lateinische Kirche im Sondermodus? Kommunikationssystem und Wissensformierung zwischen Lateineuropa und dem Fernen Osten im 13. und 14. Jahrhundert" (Prof. Dr. Jochen Johrendt); starting November 2023, scientific collaborator at the DHI Roma for the Middle Ages, with the research project ID-NET: Ideal, Discourses, Networks. Main Research Interests
The papacy in the Middle Ages (particularly the elite of the Curia); the papacy and the East in the 14th century; urban history with specific reference to Italy in the mid and late Medieval period.
