She studied History, Civic and Political Education, Anglistics, Americanistics and Romance philology in Salzburg, Dundee and Udine; 2011: PhD at University of Salzburg; 2012: project assistant at University of Innsbruck; 2012–2017: project assistant and senior scientist at University of Salzburg; 2014: Research fellow at Austrian Historical Institute in Rome; 2017–2023: Postdoctoral Assistant at Institute of History, University of Klagenfurt, Department of Modern and Austrian History; since 2013: lecturer at Universities of Salzburg and Klagenfurt; since September 2023: research associate at DHI Rome in research area Early Modern History. She currently works on the project Gathering and reworking information from Constantinople, Vienna, Venice and Rome (1664–1684).
