Access
Our library is open to the public for historical research and may be accessed by anyone above the age of 18. No presentation letter is required.

Library materials
The holdings/collections, which can be searched using the electronic catalogues, are partly displayed on open shelves and partly kept in storage facilities. The library does not offer national or international interlibrary loan services, and lending in general is strictly excluded. Library staff is on hand to assist users in searching library materials and to answer any other queries.

Technical equipment
Wifi connection and power sockets for laptops are available in the reading rooms. Research stations provide access to OPACs and to electronic resources. Microform readers are available.

Reproducing material
You may reproduce material (by making photocopies, scans etc) for study without commercial purposes. Users are required to comply with the provisions of copyright and personal rights.

Use of the scanner and the microfilm and microfiche readers is free. For copies and photocopies, the first ten pages are free, after which a fee of €0.10 per page is required. Postal charges are calculated on the basis of current Poste Italiane rates.

Reproductions from ancient or valuable manuscripts or volumes may be restricted or prohibited for conservation purposes.

Musical equipment
A stereo system is available for musicology research, enabling the listening of audio materials. There is also a concert piano, a harpsichord and a digital piano in the listening room.
